It was alleged that the accused persons on 15/2/2009 at Leken area, Selela village, Monduli District in Arusha region were found in unlawful possession of fresh wildebeest meat. The accused denied the charges. The accused persons were found guilty and were therefore convicted.
On February 6, 2015, the defendant Min H. flew to Shanghai Pudong International Airport on flight ET684, and chose to go through the non-declaration channel when entering the country, and did not declare any items to the customs.
On the material date, at 22.00 hrs at Tingirima village within Bunda District in Mara Region, the accused was found in the possession of skins of dik-dik, two pieces of dried meat of the wildebeest and a piece of elephant tusk, after an emergence search in his house, a house owned by his mother and elder brother while he was sleeping.
In 2016, the accused Anthony NWABU NWANNE NWOYE was arrested flagrante delicto by elements of the conservation service of the Regional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife, Bertoua.
The accused, Feussi Andre was arrested for the illegal killing of totally protected species (Giant pangolins). On this ground, he was prosecuted before the Court of First Instance Abong Mbang.
On the 9 December 2014, elements of the Regional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife Buea received a letter from military officials who were on a mixed control mission in the town of Misselele, about a seizure of pangolin scales and elephant ivories carried out on the 8 December.
In October 2013, BABA AHMADOU, the board chairperson of the telecoms company VIETTEL, sent a complaint to the Buea Judicial police about some of his collaborators indulging in smuggling elephant tusks and pangolin scales in the national territory tarnishing the reputation of their firm.

The appellants in the court below were found to be in possession of game animal, alternatively government trophy, namely wildebeest skin, without being licenced or authorised to possess same.
