On 11th May, 2010 at Mlangale village the accused person was arraigned and found in unlawful possession of firearm without a license. Also accused person was in unlawful possession of government trophies and ammunition. A charge brought before the court for accused to answer. The accused was convicted.

That on 8th December, 2011 at Itumba area within Mpanda District in Rukwa region the accused persons were arraigned and found in unlawful possession of government trophies. Also the accused persons were found in unlawful possession of two muzzle gun and ammunitions. A charge was brought before the court for accused persons to answer.

Accused persons were arrested at Kihelezo village within Kilosa District in Morogoro for on allegation of possessing Government trophy against the laws of the country. Alleged Government trophy was buffalo meat weighing 5 kilos. When charged they all denied the charged but later convicted as charged and sentenced.

Accused Juma Grayson, Geofrey Semkoko and Salim Kigoda were arrested and charged for being found in unlawful possession of Government trophies contrary to the provision of the law. They were all charged at the Pangani District Court for the same offence.

The accused were jointly found in possession of buffalo meat and fourteen (14) ammunitions without a permit. During their charges they both pleaded not guilty.

One day in January 2018, the defendant Jun L. went to the mountain in the south of Laoyanye Station, Zhuangke Village Committee, Qianchang Town, Yao'an County, and killed a pheasant with a nail gun. On a noon in March 2018, Jun L.

During November 2015, Liu Guangyou hunted two suspected golden-bellied pheasants in the grounds of Huidong County in the following hunting methods. After identification, the two prey are indeed golden-bellied golden pheasants, belonging to the national second-level key protected animals.

From April 2018 to April 2019, the defendant Hongming S. went to the mountain on the east side of the big slope behind the back of Luxi County four times, using a buckle (rope) to set traps and a small record player (recorder) to lure pheasants. In this way, four pheasants were illegally hunted by him.

The defendant Wanguo L. together with Luo (handled separately) and Zhao (at fugitive) used electric hunting traps bought online without a hunting license on June 26, 2018 in Ningnan County and four wild boars and a fox were caught, with same method they killed two wild boars in the same place on June 28, 2018.

This dispute concerns the ownership of a valuable herd of Cape Buffalo, which escaped from the Thomas Baines Nature Reserve in the Eastern Cape, a provincial nature reserve managed in the public interest by the appellant, the Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency ("the Agency").
