Abstract
The accused ABOLO EKOMANE Martin Festin was summoned to appear before the Court to respond to charges of poaching protected animal species on the 27 January 1993 in Djoum. That he was arrested by forces of law and order in possession of three (03) gorilla thighs, three (03) monkey thighs and a hare without a certificate of origin. During the hearing, he failed to appear before the court in spite being summoned. However, the court found sufficient evidence to establish his culpability. At the end of the hearing, the court adjourned the matter for judgement.
