The accused MENGONO Jean Pierre was summoned to appear before the Court of First Instance Djoum to respond to charges of illegal killing of protected animals species. That in March 1989, the accused was arrested in the locality of Elleng, for killing protected animal species without authorization in an area prohibited from hunting. During the hearing, the court did not find sufficient incriminating evidence to establish his culpability. At the end of the proceedings, the matter was adjourned for judgement.
