Abstract

Following preliminary investigations by the State Attorney of the Court of First Instance, Djoum the accused OBAME ENDAMANE Jean was summoned to respond to charges of illegal killing of a totally protected animal species. That on July 17, 1993 in the locality of Onon, killed an elephant with a firearm in an area prohibited from poaching and without a hunting permit. The matter was transmitted before the court for hearing.
