On the 14 December 1988, the accused ONGBA Salomon Bachelin was summoned to appear before the Court to respond to charges of illegal killing of protected animal species. That on the 30/08/1989 in Mintom, he killed protected animal species in a zone prohibited from hunting. During court hearings, the accused person failed to show up in court despite of numerous attempts by the court for him to do so. The court thereby passed judgement on him in default.
