On 17th April, 2008 at Rukwa Lukwati Forest Reserve within Mpanda District the accused person was arraigned and found in unlawful possession of government trophies. Then brought before the court to answer a charge. The accused was convicted.

The accused persons were charged jointly and severally for contravening various provisions of the laws governing and regulating possession and disposition of the Government trophies. The main charge around this case was unlawful exportation of wild animals with total value of Tshs. 170,575,500.

On 2nd May, 2009 at Mpimbwe-Usevya village within Mpanda District in Rukwa Region, the accused person was arraigned and found in unlawful possession of government trophies. A charge of unlawful possession was brought against the accused person before the court. The accused person was convicted.

On 18th August 2008 at Londoiya village Arumeru District within Arusha region was found in unlawful possession of giraffe meat valued Tsh. 840,000/= the property of Tanzania government. On the material day, two game rangers while on duty found three people with plastic bag containing 50 kg of giraffe meat.

On 31st day of March 2009, the accused persons were found by the anti-poaching unit with unlawful possession of government trophy giraffe carcass loaded in the motor vehicle. The first accused was the driver of the vehicle while 2nd and 3rd accused persons are policemen. The accused persons were found not guilty and were therefore acquitted.

It is alleged that the accused person on 13 October 2014 in Muhesi Game Reserve , Manyoni District, Singida Region entered the said game reserve without authority with a one unregistered muzzle loader, bullets, gunpowder and an axe.
