In February 2018, Zebengou Bavant, chief of the village Douma 1 organized a big hunting expedition with the participation of a renown hunter Ekombi Amino assisted by his son Mbela Georges and his brother-in-law Mbomo Felix.

In 2008, while his wife was pregnant, Kazouna Cyprien proposed to Essoula Idriss to carry a hunting expedition for him to get some money to cover the delivery of his wife. During the hunting expedition, they came across a small dead elephant and they removed the two small tusks that they sold to XAF 40,000 (forty thousand).

In August 2016, Essaio Jaures entered the forest to set traps. On his way, he came across rangers on patrol who arrested him because the area was protected against hunting. Brought to the state prosecutor, Essabio was forwarded to court for trial.

In July 2016, Nji Fonbdah Gédéon went to the locality of Yangadou, Cabosse where he bought leopard skins and pangolin scales. On his return to Souanke, he associated himself with Gadjere Ibrahim who assisted in buying more leopard skins. That’s how both were arrested and brought before the state prosecutor.

During the year 2016 at Pokola, Gbeli Jordan with a war weapon in his possession, decided to form a hunting team composed of Ehoulabi Lazard and Bassin Jean in other to hunt elephants.

In May 2019, Golom Raphael was approached by one known as Didier who offered to sell him three ivory tusks. He then bought one tusk for XAF 300,000, after which investigations were opened against him and the file fowarded to the state prosecutor’s chambers and later to the court for trial.

In July 2016, Gonock Evounanga Edgard, Béranger Mesong and Ziba went 65 kms from Sembe on the Ngbala road in possession of a war weapon with the objective to cross Dja river on the Cameroon side in order to look for a hunter. They got in contact with Minda Xavier who immediately accepted to put his know-how at their disposal.

In December 2017, Kouatou Issofa associated himself with Konfo Etienne Armand in order to acquire ivory tusks. Konfo Etienne knew already one poacher called Mouchina, whose when contacted asked him to go to a place called Mboua.

In February 2018, Lack Delphin accompanied by Ehousse Jonathan and Pith Gaston went to a forest near the village Dia for hunting. Pith Gaston killed one elephant and called Lack Delphin to extract the trophies. Few days later both met at Sembe village and Pith Gaston gave XAF 10,000 (ten thousand) to Lack Delphin as reward.

In March 2016, Bozeze Côme and Mounkouele Rock Leonel were planning to carry out big hunting. After a fishing party, they noticed the presence of elephants in the area and turned back to contact Okomba Gilbert who was in possession of war weapons and ammunitions.
