On 23/05/2011, the OC – CID of Mugumu police station received information from two intelligence officers of Tanzania National Parks stationed at Serengeti National Park, that there were persons selling elephant tusks to a person putting up a hotel in Mugumu Township.
On the 29 September 2016, following a mission led by the chief of the wildlife service and protected areas of the Littoral region, Abdoul Karim Ibrahim was arrested at ”Marché des fleurs” in Douala in illegal possession of 160 carved ivory objects. When arrested, he fiercely opposed the arrest teams.
On the 18 August 2018 during a routine control in Douala, the agents of the Littoral Regional Delegation of Forestry and wildlife, arrested the defendants red-handed in possession 11 bags of pangolins scales weighing 629 kg . They were transmitted before the State Attorney for prosecution.
The defendants were arrested in Douala on February 26, 2010 in possession of 200 African grey parrots. They were arrested when they were about to commercialize the parrots without any legal authorization. They were transmitted before the State Attorney for prosecution.
On the 10 November 2018 around 2 a.m., two boats fell in an ambush near the Bonaberi Bridge in Douala. When the marine brigade was searching in, another canoe was seen carrying on board eleven suspicious bags and having no passenger but only the boatman. the excavation of said bags uncovered 219 ivory tusks for a total weight of 472.7 kg.

On the 09 December 2010 at ”Marché de Fleurs” in Douala, a team from the Littoral Regional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife arrested NKOUTENGAM ABOUBAKAR in possession of a Leopard skin which he was selling. During interrogations, he admitted to having been found in illegal possession of a Leopard skin which he was about to sell.
On the 19 September 2013, the accused NFORMI Alfred FAI was arrested in Edea by elements of the conservation service of the Divisional Delegation of the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife. He was found in possession of two elephant jawbones. During interrogations, he denied committing the offence and pleaded not guilty.
