Elements of the conservation service of the Dja Biosphere Reserve organized an anti-poaching patrol mission in the reserve. The accused, Mbo Francis was arrested in illegal possession of thirteen (13) Bay duikers, a locally manufactured gun and ammunitions in a zone prohibited from hunting.
On the 27 June 2018, the accused HAWA was arrested in the MADA neighbourhood in BERTOUA by elements of the Gendarmerie Legion, East during a search at her home. She was arrested in possession of two (2) elephant ivories.
The accused KAMWA TADIE Augustine was arrested in Bandjoun by elements of the regional delegation of Forestry and Wildlife. He was found in possession of 01 Leopard skin in his plastic bag. During interrogation, he admitted the facts but named the co-offender, KUATE JOSEPH as the owner of the trophies.
The accused persons, MATEMBE Jean and ELENGA Giscard Destiny were prosecuted before the Court of First Instance, Yokadouma for illegal possession of a 5th category weapon and hunting ammunitions, complicity in killing of class B protected animals in a protected area, illegal immigration and lack of a national identity card.
On the 29 March 2007, the accused persons NEMBOT KAMDEM Thomas, KAMDEM Barnabe and TELLA Jean Pierre were arrested flagrante delicto by forces of law and order in possession of three (03) Leopard skins. During interrogation, they all pleaded not guilty and denied having captured or killed leopards.
On the 21 March 2007, the accused persons NTSY ELOUA Heriot, ELLA Francis and BISSEGUEI Bolamo Francis were arrested in Messock by elements of the conservation service. They were found in possession of three chimpanzees and other dead animal species. The first accused person, NTSY ELOUA Heriot was never identified.
On the night of 7-8 January 2019, the accused persons NANA Namoudou, BANDOKA GBABISSONI Bernadin, LIGUINEBANDI Crepin and ABOKE Jean Christ were arrested flagrante delicto in the locality of Libongo by the mobile intervention battalion of the military.
The accused persons MELAT Blaise, MFONGOCK Didier, NYAMPE Charles II and ATOKI Suzanne were prosecuted before the Court First Instance, Dschang for illegal detention, circulation and attempted commercialization of trophies of totally protected animal species. On the 08 June 2018 judgement was passed.
The accused persons MIKA MIKA Richard, MIKA MIKA Blanchard, LUILE Bosco, WATALO Lambert and MELOUOL MGBEMA Dieudonne were arrested in Salapoumbe by forces of law and order and summoned before the Military Court, Bertoua to respond to charges against them.
The accused persons MEFIRE ISSOFA and BALOULO AMARE were arrested flagrante delicto in Yokadouma by elements of the East regional delegation of Forestry and Wildlife.
