From September to November 2014, Pingfan D., Aiming Z. and others purchased the big-headed turtles in Myanmar many times, and hired Ding to transport them from Myanmar to the a farm in a rental house next to the Burmese Temple in Manchang Village, Daluo Village Committee of Daluo Town, China through illegal channels .
From 2014 to 2015, Chen and Yu together with Shen, Jiang, Fushui L. and Mingxing Z. formed a criminal gang to purchase and transport ivory products, of which Lin Fushui L. and Mingxing Z. were responsible for receiving ivory products in Fujian.
In February 2014, Haibo Y. purchased a round pendant made of ivory with a diameter of about 3.5 cm at the Xiaguan Xinqiao Farmers Market in Dali City. In March 2016, Haibo Y. purchased a round pendant made of ivory with a diameter of about 4.2 cm from a WeChat friend "Zangchuan".
During 2010, Xinlin Y. obtained goshawks, otters and other endangered wild animals from a Lao man named "Amou" at the Mengkang port in Jiangcheng County, and then he made them into animal specimens. Xinlin Y. placed the specimens in the store he operated, and affixed a price tag of 2900 yuan to the base of one grass owl specimen.
In February 2018, Heng Z. purchased a snow leopard skin from Han through WeChat and sold it to Yu. Then he asked Han to deliver the snow leopard skin to Xu by courier at the address provided by Yu. After the appraisal, the snow leopard skin involved was worth 400,000 yuan.
On the 20 June 2014, elements of the conservation service of the Mt. Cameroon National Park organized an anti-poaching patrol in the village of Efolofo, located around the said park. Upon hearing a gun, they moved towards the direction with the aid of cyber tracker.
On the 9 December 2014, elements of the Regional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife Buea received a letter from military officials who were on a mixed control mission in the town of Misselele, about a seizure of pangolin scales and elephant ivories carried out on the 8 December.
In October 2013, BABA AHMADOU, the board chairperson of the telecoms company VIETTEL, sent a complaint to the Buea Judicial police about some of his collaborators indulging in smuggling elephant tusks and pangolin scales in the national territory tarnishing the reputation of their firm.
On the 4 August 2013, the conservator of Korup National Park received reliable information about an elephant being killed in the village of Ikenge. The conservator mobilized a team together with the military to carry out a field investigation to this effect. On their way to the village, the team kept an open eye for any evidence.
On the 12/08/2015, custom officials of Idenau seized a bag containing elephant tusks belonging in aboat called GIDEON belonging to a company called Lophombo PLC. One of the customs officials saw the boat with four loaded bags, approached the boat and asked one of the accused persons who was in charge of the goods had been declared.
