In 2018, Manzongo Freddy returned from DRC with a PMAK war weapon. In November 2019, he and some friends killed three elephants. Some time later, Manzongo Freddy lent his gun to two of his friends who killed an elephant. The case caused a stir in the village and the accused fled to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
On 19 October 2018, the Mokabi Anti-Poaching and Surveillance Unit, during its traditional surveillance operations, surprised a group of Central African individuals in the middle of the forest. During the operation, they managed to arrest Mbekounda Achille and Mamadou Amidou, who were in possession of several baskets of smoked meat.
In 2018, Mangola Desin decided to organise a small hunt in the forest and killed a gorilla. He was arrested by officers of the Conservation and Biodiversity Service of the Nouabélé Ndoki National Park during one of their anti-poaching operations.
In November 2018, Makokolo Benjamin was at his fishing camp in Dzondo when a canoe from Bondoki , which docked at his camp, brought a bag of smoked gorilla meat and he was offered to buy a portion of gorilla meat for 15,000.
On August 19, 2011, Mboyi Denis, a Central African resident in Nola (RCA) was arrested by a patrol of eco-guards in the Nouabélé Ndoki National Park in possession of a homemade weapon and metal cables to set traps.
On November, 23, 2020, the anti-poaching surveillance and control unit of Mokabi Village in its traditional mission apprehended Mboudzou Mathurin and Moussouka Saturnin in possession of a baby gorilla.
In July 2020, Izoko Christ Parole went to the camp in Bouanela for a game of fishing. Noting the scarcity of fish, he decided to buy the cartridges and gave to Molobeli alias Nguiama the 12-calibre weapon to get for him 2 or 3 pieces of meat. After killing a bush pig, Nguiama went back to the forest and did not return to the camp.
