Starting from March 2019, four people began to buy shares of rhino horn products and stored them in a room in Shiguang Apartment, Linan Town, Xianyou County. Among them, Yinli X.

From 2018 to the time of the incident, Yinli X., Shipeng Y., Penglong L. and Daqian Y. purchased and sold rhino horn products through WeChat. From June 3 to June 5, 2018, Manai M. and Yinusi W went from Xiahe County, Gansu Province to Qinghai to purchase ivory products. At 19:00 on June 5, 2018, they drove a white Volkswagen Langxing car to Xining with the suspected ivory products they purchased.

From July to August 2017, Jianhuo C. hired Jianfa C to process and polish a batch of ivory beads at a price of 0.5 yuan each; from July to August 2018, Jianhuo C. handed over two bags of ivory beads to Jianfa C. for processing and polishing. After identification, the net weight of ivory products was 0.733kg, valued at 21541 yuan.

From May to June 2018, Hongyin W. illegally purchased wild herons (dead bodies) from Sun (separate case) for prices ranging from 30 yuan to 50 yuan, and the birds were used in restaurants to process into dishes for customers. Hongyin W. paid a total of 7,536 yuan for the purchase of wild birds to Sun. Hongyin W.

From May to June 2018, Meifang W. illegally purchased wild herons (dead bodies) from Sun (separate case) for prices ranging from 20 yuan to 35 yuan, and the birds were used in restaurants to process into dishes for customers. Meifang W. paid a total of 4,485 yuan for the purchase of wild birds to Sun. Meifang W.

From May to July 2018, Yisun H. illegally purchased wild heron birds at a price ranging from 25 yuan to 40 yuan from Sun (sentenced) and others, and the birds were used in restaurants to process into dishes for customers. Yisun H. paid 10,460 yuan for the purchase of wild birds (dead bodies) to Sun through Wechat transfer. Yisun H.

From April to July 2018, Zhonggui Z. illegally purchased wild heron birds at a price ranging from 27 yuan to 40 yuan from Sun (sentenced) and others, and the birds were used in restaurants to process into dishes for customers. Zhonggui Z. paid 4,083 yuan for the purchase of wild birds (dead bodies) to Sun through Wechat transfer. Zhonggui Z.

From April to July 2018, Jianxin M. illegally purchased wild heron birds at a price ranging from 27 yuan to 50 yuan from Sun (sentenced) and others, and the birds were used in restaurants to process into dishes for customers. Jianxin M. paid 4,200 yuan for the purchase of wild birds (dead bodies) to Sun through cash. Jianxin M.
