Elements of the Upper Nyong Divisional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife under the supervision of the Chief of Wildlife, organized an anti-poaching patrol mission in the town of Doume. During this operation, the accused NJOYA NSANGOU was arrested with 27kg of pangolin scales.
The Chief of the Forestry and Wildlife control post of Lomie received reliable information on the illegal circulation of ivory trafficking in the town. Based on this, he dispatched this information to his collegues in the neighbouring localities of Mitoum, Payo and Nomedjoh in an effort to arrest the whole trafficking network.
The chief of Wildlife of the Upper Nyong divisional delegation of Forestry and Wildlife organized a control mission in that zone. This led to the arrest of the accused persons HABOULAZIZE NZIME and NGAO Jean Pierre in Hotel Raphia in the town of Lomie, flagrante delicto in illegal detention and commercialization of wildlife products.
In 2016, HAMADJODA YAYA was arrested in the East region in possession of carcasses of protected animal species of classes B & C without a certificate of origin. He was prosecuted and sentenced.
On the night of 23rd March 2009, OYIE BAHNA Salomon was caught red-handed in DJENABO (a locality situated on the Djoum-Mintom road) by the South Antenna of the Dja conservation service agents. He was in possession of twelve (12) Gorillas parts, six (6) Mandrillus part and nine (9) Water Chevrotain parts.
On the 21st August 2017, MINTCHA OKONO Benoit was arrested by elements of the conservation service of the Campo Ma'an National Park. He was found in possession of seven rats, a bay duiker and porcupine meat and did not have his national identity card at the time of the arrest. He admitted killing these animals during a hunting party.
On the 02 February 2015, NDJONDJE NDEMBWE Augusrine & MAKOUTA MASSELA Martin were caught flagrante delicto in a hotel in Kribi with 31 Leatherback turtle shells in an attempt to traffic them. Upon their arrest, they were unable to present legal documents authorizing such activity.
The accused Ndoum Willy acquired an AK47 war gun and ammunitions from a certain Mboko Alfred with the intention of poaching elephants. In order to do this, he requested help from the co-offender Namoudou Jean Pierre with whom they killed an Elephant in the reserve of Faro-Lobeke and proceeded to sell the ivories.
On the 19 September 2013, the accused NFORMI Alfred FAI was arrested in Edea by elements of the conservation service of the Divisional Delegation of the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife. He was found in possession of two elephant jawbones. During interrogations, he denied committing the offence and pleaded not guilty.
Elements of the conservation service of Campo Ma'an national park arrested NKAN ZADI Paul in the said park in possession of four (4) Bay duikers, a porcupine, 50 steel cables and a machete.
