The two Accused had been convicted of unlawfully hunting game. The value of weapons and vehicle used in the commission of the offence exceeded the civil jurisdiction of a Subordinate Court, which accordingly referred the question of forfeiture of these articles to the High Court.

This was an appeal against the decision of the Chief Magistrate that convicted and sentenced the appellants of a series of offences arising out of killing wild animals. He was found with 03 Tortoises, 04 smoked Zambian rats and smoked Porcupines. During interrogations, he acknowledged committing the offence as charged and pleaded guilty.
Elements of the conservation service of Campo Ma'an national park arrested NKAN ZADI Paul in the said park in possession of four (4) Bay duikers, a porcupine, 50 steel cables and a machete.
MEDOU Paul Alex was arrested in Campo Ma'an National Park in possession of a bay duiker and a porcupine that he killed in the park during a hunting party.
The accused ENADA nee AYERE was summoned by the Court to respond to charges of poaching protected animal species on 22 December 1998 in Mintom. The accused denied the charges against her.
The Accused was arrested at Kiryadongo town in Kiryadongo District. The Accused was found to be in possession of specimen belonging to animals categorized as protected species contrary to the laws of the country. The Accused was charged and prosecuted at the Chief Magistrate Court of Kampala at Buganda Road.
