AKOUMA Jean Marie was arrested in the Campo Ma'an National Park without authorization and in possession of a hunting gun. He was arrested by elements of the conservation service of Campo Ma'an national park with a chimpanzee that he killed in the park during a hunting party.
On the 03 June 2015, in the locality of Edea, BANY Simon was by elements of the conservation service in possession of a chimpanzee skull hidden in a bag he was carrying. During interrogations, he acknowledged committing the offences as charged and pleaded guilty.
On the 25 August 2015 in the locality of Pouma, elements of the conservation service arrested the accused, BITJOKA Jean Marie in illegal possession of skulls of chimpanzees, gorillas and other unidentified monkeys. He was about to commercialize them at the time of his arrest and was void of any identity document.
Bolandombe Didier is a Congolese (DRC) individual employed as task agent at the Société Atama Plantations at Mambili. In May 2017, with a hunting gun he entered the forest for small hunting. He killed a chimpanzee, a totally protected animal at around 6:00 pm. He went back to the village and left the meat in the forest.
On March 29, 2016, Chinese individuals resident at village Elogo seeked the expertise of Bozock Medoung Serge for gold prospection at 20 kms from the village. With a Russian-made weapon Bozock Medoung together with Tita Ulrich, Epe Doukouro Stève, Danga Maurice and Mefanga Prospère went to the forest.
The accused persons Bandou Tangui Bertrand and Beka Octave Timolian were arrested flagrante delicto in the locality of Bazou by elements of the Nde divisional delegation of forestry and wildlife. They were found in possession of a three years old chimpanzee which they were about to sell.
The accused ABA Jean Didier, was arrested in March 2016 flagrante delicto by elements of the conservation service in illegal possession of 04 Gorilla skulls, 08 Chimpanzee skulls, 02 Wart Hog skulls and 01 Mandrill skull. He was arrested in Mengong, Ebolowa in the South Region.
Mr OKALE Robert, head of the South antenna of the Dja biosphere reserve received reliable information from informal sources admitting that unidentified individuals were about to carry out an illegal transaction involving trophies of totally protected animals species at the Jeannette hostel located in the Etoile district in Djoum.
On the 1st October 2014, elements of the conservation service of the divisional delegation of Ntem, South Region received reliable information about the illicit trafficking of wildlife products in the town. Following this information and together with the gendarmerie, they proceeded to arrest the accused ELLA Minko Pierre at Hotel Sispens.
in December 2011, Banza Françis, Doubale Fabrice, Baketou Jean Marc and Doperengay Joseph were arrested inside the Nouabélé Ndoki National Park by a patrol and anti-poaching brigade of the eco-guards. The eco-guards found smoked chimpanzee meat in their possession.
