On October 18, 2017, water and forest administration officials of Ngounié were informed that a transaction of products of fully protected species was to be made in a motel in Mouila.

In 2018, following information about the possession by an individual of a panther skin, the agents of the research branch of Ogoué Ivindo opened an investigation, which led to the arrest of MAYOMBO NDOUNA Georges Berry.

The Accused were arrested at Kyebando, Kawempe Division in Kampala District and were taken to Kampala CPS. The Accused were found to be in possession of specimen belonging to animals categorized as protected species contrary to the laws of the country.

The Accused was arrested in Ssanga Town and taken to Ssanga Police station and later transferred to Kampala CPS. The Accused was found to be in possession of specimen belonging to animals categorized as protected species contrary to the laws of the country.

The Accused were arrested at Yowa Guest House Nakulabye in Kampala District and were taken to Kampala CPS. The Accused were found to be in possession of specimen (in possession of 99.16 kg of Pangolin scales) belonging to animals categorized as protected species contrary to the laws of the country.

The Accused were arrested at Rutooke Town Council in Mitooma District and were transferred to Kampala CPS. The Accused were found to be in possession of specimen belonging to animals categorized as protected species contrary to the laws of the country.

The Accused were arrested at Ntinda in Kampala District and taken to Kampala CPS. The Accused were found to be in possession of specimen (2 live pangolins) belonging to animals categorized as protected species contrary to the laws of the country.

The Accused were arrested at River Oli in Arua city and were taken to Arua Police Station before they were transferred to Kampala CPS. The Accused were found to be in possession of specimen belonging to animals categorized as protected species contrary to the laws of the country.

The Accused was arrested in Arua District and taken to Arua CPS. The Accused was found to be in possession of specimen belonging to animals categorized as protected species contrary to the laws of the country. The Accused was charged and prosecuted at the Chief Magistrate Court of Kampala at Buganda Road.
