In June 2017, Bandoumou Christ Waddle together with his uncle Nguesse Simeon, Franck Ebeke and Durel decided to carry out elephant hunting during which they killed with a war weapon three elephants with the tusks weighing respectively 7.5 kgs, 6 kgs and 2 kgs.
In September 2017, Sokima Matondo participated in a hunting expedition with two named Riben and Aniossi during which they killed one elephant. In January 2018, Sokima again carried out a hunting expedition this time with Mobembo Gerard alias Kevhano, Lezona and others during they killed eleven elephants.
During a patrol, rangers caught Mondangue John and Moundele Landry in a taxi at village called Mokouangonda in illegal possession of one war weapon (type PMK, serial number 1975734756) and 180 ammunition while on their way to a hunting expedition.
In July 2019 at Tala-Tala, Monoumbou Marc Stanislas a hunter went to the forest with Messi Mangolo Idriss and Mekousse Grace as carriers for a hunting expedition. He killed four gazelles and one giant pangolin.

In November 2018, Dallo Romain was arrested in possession of a war weapon inside the Odzala-Kokoua national park. During his interrogation, he declared that the weapon belonged to Nouma Rolince.
