In October 2014, following the discovery of the carcass of an elephant at Ignoli village in the area of Odzala Koukoua National Park, an investigation mission was carried out by the ecoguards during which Eboua Jean was caught red handed in possession of a weapon of war and ammunition that he buried at the place where the elephant had been shot.

In June 2019, Epouka Claude Alain was caught red handed in possession of ivory tusks belonging to his sister named MBOYO Roseline. His sister had given him the tusks at Mahounda village to bring them to Ouesso.

On 4th September 2019, the services of the conservation and biodiversity sector of the NOUABALE-NDOKI park were informed of the fact that a Central African subject was holding ivory points in his hand, which he had buried in the ground. They went to the scene and proceeded to search his home.

In December 2012, Kouazock, Zopoum and Ben, all military officers left Brazzaville to Sembe carrying war arms and ammunition. They met with Ebisse Jean Claude and Sipiane Abel, both natives of the locality and suggested to them to hunt elephants. They provided them with arms and ammunition and gave them the sum of XAF 20,000 (twenty thousand).

In March 2010, the wildlife and protected areas services of the Likouala forest economy department, together with the Impfondo gendarmerie services, arrested Ebongo Antoine who was in possession of two ivory tips which he claimed to have bought from a DRC national.

In June 2014, the eco-Guard service patrol mission of the Nouabele Ndoki Park, caught Elanga Richard in possession of a PMAK type war weapon with a charger and the trophies of an elephant at the camp.

In June 2013, EYOSSE Guy et NGATSE Gervais went to NDOKI to carry out a big hunting expedition. While there and armed with a PMAK-type war weapon and 15 bullets, the aforementioned subjects went to the forest and shot an elephant.

In 2006, MALANDA MASENGO Aristide, owner of a defective calibre 308 hunting weapon, presented its weapon to BOME Leopold, a former eco-guard and repairer of hunting weapon and asked him to repair the weapon. On the same occasion, he gave BOME Leopold four pieces of ammunition in order to use it to check the repair was perfect.

In July 2014, Beyino Michael and Ndombia Roger took part in elephant hunting with war weapons inside a protected area. Once informed, park rangers (eco-guards) opened an investigation that led to the arrest and interrogation of the suspects during which they admitted to have participated in elephant hunting with war weapons.

In January 2020 at Bomassa, MOLOUKA Kennedy, EKPONGO NGAND Denis and BAEKI Faustin were caught red-handed by the eco-guards while they were smoking the meat of an elephant they had just killed. When questioned, they admitted to having helped and assisted the one named as IKANGA Fernand, who had killed the elephant.
