The accused LETINA JEAN-PIERRE was arrested flagrante delicto in the locality of Djembe by eco-guards of the Lobeke national park during an anti-poaching control mission. He was found in possession of 45 steel cables, 02 machetes, 04 pieces of Giant pangolins, 08 thighs of Peter's and Harvey's duiker and 02 thighs of Blue duiker.
The accused MARA PIERRE SAUVEUR was arrested flagrante delicto in the locality of Ngatto Ancien Massok in the Forestry Management Unit (FMU) n°1020 (Cynegetic Hunting Zone (CHU) n°40 by elements of the Nki National Park.
In January 2013, at Etakanyabe by Makokou in the Ogooué Ivindo Province in the judicial area of Franceville, the Toyota Hilux 4x4 vehicle, driven by Messimo Rodrigue with Mbombi, Lindo and Egales on board were arrested with park agents at a check point after breaking through the barrier that was erected there.
In December 2019, the Conservator of MOUKALABA Doudou National Park informed judicial police officers that an elephant was being killed in the river of the national park, where the bones of this animal were found. Following the investigations, Mbina and Nziengui were arrested.
In January 2018, Mbaba Maxime was visited at his home by Kassa Ali and Aba Madi Maxime, who noticed two ivory tusks in his living room that were used as ornaments. Aba Madi Baba later on informed Mbaba that he had found a buyer named Koffi who was interested in his ivory tusks.
In September 2020 in Franceville, Alimi Adissa Yacouba was approached by somebody who wanted his assistance to buy ivory in exchange of a mobile phone. Alimi then contacted Mba Obame who promised the tusks.
The accused persons, CHINGO Zacharie and ADAMU YAYA were prosecuted before the court of First Instance Djoum for illegal detention and killing of totally protected animal species notably 03 bags containing 39 elephant ivories.
The accused DIMA OTSITSA Martin was arrested flagrante delicto in the locality of Ngatto by elements of the Boumba and Ngoko divisional delegation of forestry and wildlife. He was found in possession of a 375 caliber weapon in an area prohibited from hunting.
On the 3 October 2015, METSIE Serge Pascal made a complaint to the commander of the Messok gendarmerie brigade that his younger brother NGOUROUBAN Jean Brice died during a hunting trip in the Dja Biosphere reserve and he suspects a certain NDONDA Achille and NKOLO Jean to be responsible.
On the 19 September 2012, the accused MONGOSSO Marcel with a certain AZIZA SINGUE Willy were arrested flagrante delicto in the locality of Djembe by ecoguards of the Lobeke national park.
