Elements of the conservation service arrested the accused MINKAMBE Jacques in the locality of Bonando, in a zone prohibited from hunting. He was found with a hunting gun and 04 ammunitions. During interrogations, he acknowledged committing the offence as charged and pleaded guilty.
Elements of the conservation service of Dja organized an anti-poaching patrol mission in the Dja reserve. During this mission, the accused TCHAMI Yannick was found in possession of bags containing freshly killed protected animal species.
In March 2005 the accused persons SIMENTINI Christophe Eugene, BIBAH Georges, MEKOUAMETOLE EKOUNI Adolphe, MEDJAH Paul and SAM Laurent were prosecuted before the Court of First Instance of Abong-Mbang for the illegal detention of hunting materials within a protected area, refusal to obey orders, conditional threat and violence on civil servants.
On December 08 2015, YANDA Emmanuel was arrested in Doume in the East region in possession of an elephant tail, two gorilla skulls, a chimpanzee skull and the skin of a non identified animal without a certificate of origin.
On the 29 September 2016, following a mission led by the chief of the wildlife service and protected areas of the Littoral region, Abdoul Karim Ibrahim was arrested at ”Marché des fleurs” in Douala in illegal possession of 160 carved ivory objects. When arrested, he fiercely opposed the arrest teams.
Elements of the conservation service, Yokadouma arrested the accused persons ANKEU TANGO Jean Paul and LANG LEGO Stephane who had just killed an elephant with the use of an unauthorized arm. The ivories were found with Lang Lego Stephane.
On the 18 August 2018 during a routine control in Douala, the agents of the Littoral Regional Delegation of Forestry and wildlife, arrested the defendants red-handed in possession 11 bags of pangolins scales weighing 629 kg . They were transmitted before the State Attorney for prosecution.
The defendants were arrested in Douala on February 26, 2010 in possession of 200 African grey parrots. They were arrested when they were about to commercialize the parrots without any legal authorization. They were transmitted before the State Attorney for prosecution.
On the 16 April 2013, ATTA Edwige was arrested in a protected area situated in the locality of Libongo by elements of the conservation service, in illegal possession of chimpanzee meat, giant pangolin meat, Deer meat and hunting material.
