On June 11, 2015, the defendant entered the Futian port. After customs inspection, 2 ivory products with a net weight of 1.4 kg were found in his bag.
On December 20, 2014, the defendant entered the port of Guangzhou Baiyun Airport on flight KQ882 (Nairobi-Guangzhou). When passing through the customs inspection area, he walked through the no-declaration channel and did not declare any items to the customs. When inspected by customs staff, the net weight of ivory products was 2.43 kg.
The defendant Zheng operated a handicraft shop on the first floor of Moon Bay Hotel in Xinghualing District of this city.
The defendant Zhao Zhengzhi took flight ET863 from Lusaka, the capital of the Republic of Zambia, to Addis Ababa, capital of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and then took flight ET604 to arrive at Terminal 3 of Beijing Capital International Airport on April 9, 2017.
On March 23, 2016, the Shangqiu Forest Public Security Bureau captured Chengcheng Z., who was suspected of purchasing or selling ivory products. According to Chengcheng Z.'s statement and related transaction records, investigators took Xun Z., Pengxiao X., Jianjing D., Xianchun L.,Guoqiang W., Chen W.
In April 2014, Wei S. joined Maanshan Branch of Anhui Post Courier Logistics Co., Ltd. and informed Jun W. that he was responsible for the delivery. Jun W. purchased ivory from Japan, Ethiopia and other countries for many times, fabricated the recipient information according to the area Wei S.
Zhiyong W. and Xinchun Z.(separate case), together with Zhiping W., Shiming L., went to Maoming City, Guangdong Province to purchase in batches of 2304.84 kg ivory smuggled from Africa from smugglers Kangwen W. and Haiqiang O.
