In July 2016, Gonock Evounanga Edgard, Béranger Mesong and Ziba went 65 kms from Sembe on the Ngbala road in possession of a war weapon with the objective to cross Dja river on the Cameroon side in order to look for a hunter. They got in contact with Minda Xavier who immediately accepted to put his know-how at their disposal.

In December 2017, Kouatou Issofa associated himself with Konfo Etienne Armand in order to acquire ivory tusks. Konfo Etienne knew already one poacher called Mouchina, whose when contacted asked him to go to a place called Mboua.

In February 2018, Lack Delphin accompanied by Ehousse Jonathan and Pith Gaston went to a forest near the village Dia for hunting. Pith Gaston killed one elephant and called Lack Delphin to extract the trophies. Few days later both met at Sembe village and Pith Gaston gave XAF 10,000 (ten thousand) to Lack Delphin as reward.

In March 2016, Bozeze Côme and Mounkouele Rock Leonel were planning to carry out big hunting. After a fishing party, they noticed the presence of elephants in the area and turned back to contact Okomba Gilbert who was in possession of war weapons and ammunitions.

During the year 2018, Ongoto Gauthier met a Cameroonian with whom he decided to organize a big hunting expedition in the forest. This expedition was not successful and Ongoto Gauthier decided to plan a trip to Cameroon.

In October 2018, Onkombi Jean Claver was arrested on his way to Souanke with a bag containing war ammunitions. He later on declared that the bag was stolen in Ouesso and he was going to Souanke to sell the ammunitions to poachers.

Goupa Nadege was in possession of one war weapon (type PMK) that she conveyed to Ouesso and gave to her brother Christophe who handed it to Selembe Remy for hunting. For the purpose of the hunting, Selembe contacted Obendza Donald, one ranger who provided him several materials including thirty ammunitions.

In November 2017, Sipiane Abel resident in Sembe organized one big hunting expedition. With the held of Adama Fridrich they entered in the forest with one war weapon (type PMK) and ammunition. After having killed one elephant, they extracted the ivory and brought it back to the village and sold it at XAF 400,000 to Sangou Zoumki.

In April 2019 at Souanke, one known as Akandzel commisioned Joel a hunter and Sobo Celestin, Maturin, Eric to kill elephants on his behalf. He gave to Joel one war weapon (type PMK) and three loaders. The poaching team went to the forest Messock-Dja and after few days they killed four elephants.

In July 2017, rangers heard gunshots inside the Nouabale-Ndoki national park and decided to go on patrol. They finally arrested Tobesse Adrien after ten days of patrol in possession of ivory tusks and brought him to the state prosecutor.
