In January 2018, Nkapala Armel stayed in Brazzaville and during his visit, he purchased one PMAK war weapon serial No 0563929836 and 135 ammunition. He then travelled in a bus from Brazzaville to Souanke. In February and March, he organized two big hunting expedition that was unfruitful.

So when they came across a group of gorillas they did not hesitate to kill one and skin the animal.

In April 2018, during a search at the Ouesso seaport the police agents have discovered in the backpack of Bale Olive four ivory tusks pieces and two small full ivory tusks. Biel Rivelent and Oniangue Léon were arrested by rangers for hunting with a war weapon in December 2018. They were brought before the state prosecutor and sent to court for trial.
