In April 2016, Mboka Fulgence on instructions of his mother gave a hunting rifle to Medoung Faustin, Ngbema Antoine and others for a small hunting expedition. Once in the forest, Medoung Faustin collected one war weapon hidden in the forest camp. He saw two elephants and killed one while the second one charged and killed him.
On August 20, 2016, Mekazoe César and Mbembe Eric, two Congolese DRC individuals resident in Ouesso took a taxi at Motonda village to Ouesso. At the PK17 check point, they were arrested by rangers with a suitcase containing four ivory tusks.
On October 14, 2012, Bozembe Bruno together with one known as Alain killed one totally protected animal (elephant) and removed his tusks. On their way back, they came across rangers who arrested Bozembe while Alain ran away. In September 2012, Mekedi Lionel alias Malaire together with one known as Yoka Leddy killed totally protected animals.
In February 2017, Medoulou Hermann and Oyono Jean Louis were planning to organize a big hunting expedition. They went to find one hunter known as Sandoukou on the Cameroon side. They went together with Sandoukou to the forest on the Gabon side where the latter killed at least two elephants and went back to take his wife before coming back.
During the year 2014, Metsio Paul Bienvenu got his picture taken in the forest in possession of a war weapon in his hands. It’s in these circumstances that rangers in the exercise of their mission have become aware of the picture and arrested the above named and brought him to the state prosecutor.
Migouo Rémy and Djamboth Jean René are parents who used to carry out big hunting and are resident at Mielekouka and Seka (Sangha division). In February 2017, they went to the forest where they used one PMAK weapon to kill one elephant and come back to the village.
In April 2019, Motossa Alexis went to the forest for big hunting. When coming out of the forest on May 05, 2019 he was observed by an unknown individual as he was hiding the products including ivory tusks who went to report rangers. Motossa was then caught inside a taxi following a search of the car.
Nakado Benjamin and Doupa Roland are Congolese individuals resident in Ouesso. In November 2017, Nacel Hermane received one known as Ndinga Rock a military officer in service at the para-commando unit in Brazzavile. With two war weapons type PMAK and four full loaders, Ndinga asked Nacel to mobilize hunters for the killing of elephants.
In October 2017, Soukazal Ebouom Guy and Epess Christian were returning from a hunting expedition around Paris-village forest whenthey came across a canvas containing one war weapon and ammunition abandoned inside a tree trunk.
On September 18, 2017, Ndzila Rochmard and Ebah Jeoffré Machel two Congolese were caught red handed in possession of one war weapon, an empty loader, 90 (ninety) war ammunition, two ivory tusks, three elephant meat pieces, four pieces of Gabon viper, one axe, one saw at the PK17 check point.
