The State Attorney issued a summons, served by a bailiff to the accused, SOUA Martin to appear before the court to respond to charges of poaching. That on the 23 December 1996, the accused SOUA Martin Claude was arrested in Mintom by forces of law and order while carrying out a patrol in the area.
On the 22 July 2008, elements of the forestry and wildlife control post of Mintom organized a control check. During this control, the accused persons NSAH MEBA & AMVAME Brice Macaire were arrested in possession of 12 pieces of gorilla meat, 4 dog legs, and 4 monkeys.
On November, 23, 2020, the anti-poaching surveillance and control unit of Mokabi Village in its traditional mission apprehended Mboudzou Mathurin and Moussouka Saturnin in possession of a baby gorilla.
The accused persons VOS Christopher and CHINGO Zachari were prosecuted before Court of First Instance, Djoum, for complicity, illegal detention of trophies of protected animal species and firearm. On the 22 November 2011, the court passed judgement.
On the 26 August 2006, the accused TCHATCHET Nicole was arrested flagrante delicto in the Bafoussam market in possession of two (02) leopard skins without any legal justification ( certificate of origin). During interrogation as well as before the State Attorney, she pleaded guilty and acknowledged committing the offence as reproached.
On the 23 September 2013, the accused ZETOUBA Ange was arrested flagrante delicto at UFA N°10015 by ecoguards of the Boumba Bek National park. During interrogations and prosecution, the the accused pleaded not guilty and rebutted the facts. That the ecogardes arrested him while he was sleeping in his hut.
