NGOUALONG KUETE Ebenezer Felicien was sentenced six (6) months suspended imprisonment terms within three (3) years, to pay 268,325XAF for fines & costs and 907.500 XAF as damages to the State of Cameroon represented by the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife.

In 2016, NTIKAM ABDOURAMANI was arrested by Forestry and Wildlife officials for illegal detention of pangolin scales as he was about to traffic them. He was prosecuted and sentenced at the Court of First Instance of Bertoua. 0n the 27 January 2016, he was sentenced to a weak imprisonment term of 55 days only.

In December 2013, the chief of Forestry and Wildlife control post of Lomié with one of his agents, proceeded to arrest OUM Paul Guy Merlin and OWONA Max Richelieu in a vehicle belonging to the Ngoyla municipality. After searching the vehicle, 02 ivory tusks were seized.

The accused SANGONO Ramses Corneille was arrested in the locality of Bonando, in a zone prohibited from hunting by elements of the conservation service with 03 live tortoises. During interrogations, he acknowledged committing the offence as charged and pleaded guilty.

Elements of the conservation service of Dja organized an anti-poaching patrol mission in the Dja reserve. During this mission, the accused SELLE Alphonse was found in possession of two bags containing freshly killed protected animal species on his motorbike.

Elements of the national public security of Moloundou arrested the accused persons with an AK47 and 10 war ammunitions. The accused NDOREMBAI ELOI, HAMIDOU and SIBALE used the war arm to kill an elephant and stole items from a certain ETOUI Abessolo Marcel. The co-offender Bouba Philomene hid the stolen items.

In 2016, elements of the Military forces and the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife of the Boumba and Ngoko Division organized a joint anti-poaching patrol mission and seizure of war arms. During this operation, they arrested the accused LIME Emile in possession of a war arm of Mark MAS 36.

On June 09, 2015 in Moloundou, the named BAPIEE Pascal recruited four persons for elephant poaching activity in the forest. While there, they fell asleep in a makeshift camp and were later awakened by the sounds of a furious elephant rushing at them.

In 2017, the accused persons DIOP THIERNO OUMAR Wele, BAGOUNO Florien, NGOMNA Sylvestre & KONGA Eric were arrested and prosecuted before the Bertoua Military Court for illegal hunting without permit and illegal detention of war arms.

Arrested in Yokadouma in 2011 for the illegal killing of totally protected animal species (Elephant), complicity and illegal detention of trophies of totally protected animal species (13 Elephant tusks), ISMAILA ISSOUHOU was prosecuted and sentenced before the Court of First Instance, Yokadouma.
