On the 14 October 2010, the accused persons MPENGUE Celestine, MEFOUTA Richard and DOUMBE Apollinaire were arrested flagrante delicto in the locality of Faro-west (Cynegetic Hunting Zone (ZIC) 30 by elements of the divisional delegation of forestry and wildlife for Boumba and Ngoko.
On the 12 December 2011, the accused persons MUHAMADU SANI BELLO, SULE NJEBA, GHOSHYI PIUS YONDO and CHIN BASILE LEMGHA were arrested flagrante delicto in the locality of Banana in the Mambele-Moloundou sector during a raid carried out by elements of the Lobéké National Park.
Elements of the conservation service of the Dja Biosphere Reserve organized an anti-poaching patrol mission in the reserve. The accused, Mbo Francis was arrested in illegal possession of thirteen (13) Bay duikers, a locally manufactured gun and ammunitions in a zone prohibited from hunting.
On the 27 June 2018, the accused HAWA was arrested in the MADA neighbourhood in BERTOUA by elements of the Gendarmerie Legion, East during a search at her home. She was arrested in possession of two (2) elephant ivories.
On January 13, 2019 at Makokou, Mbondazokou Jean Valentin, Mbetsakame Régis, Nzingo Satoka Carl Boris were apprehended by judicial police officers who found them in possession of two ivory tusks hidden inside a bag of rice. Mbondazokou Jean Valentin and Mbetsakame Régis admitted the facts i.e.
The accused persons, MATEMBE Jean and ELENGA Giscard Destiny were prosecuted before the Court of First Instance, Yokadouma for illegal possession of a 5th category weapon and hunting ammunitions, complicity in killing of class B protected animals in a protected area, illegal immigration and lack of a national identity card.
In 2018, following information about the possession by an individual of a panther skin, the agents of the research branch of Ogoué Ivindo opened an investigation, which led to the arrest of MAYOMBO NDOUNA Georges Berry.
On 14 February 2020 following a denunciation, the officers of the judicial police of Franceville branch and the agents of Waters and Forests (Conservation Justice) set up an entrapment in order to arrest possible holders of ivory tusks.
In August 2020 at Ogooué-Ivindo, a train coming from Libreville hit two elephants. Informed of the situation, agents of the Mimogho national park arrived at the scene and discovered that the animals were not having their tusks.
On the 21 March 2007, the accused persons NTSY ELOUA Heriot, ELLA Francis and BISSEGUEI Bolamo Francis were arrested in Messock by elements of the conservation service. They were found in possession of three chimpanzees and other dead animal species. The first accused person, NTSY ELOUA Heriot was never identified.
