On July 29, 2016, Yaya Mboubouti Venia Steve left Matoto to Pokola. On his way, he was suddenly stopped by two local indigenous people who proposed him to buy ivory tusks. Interested, he bought four tusks at XAF 125,000 over the XAF 200,000 that was fixed by the sellers.

In October 2015, Zokaba Francis, Doumodoumo Rudaure Hassan and others met at Mopoko to talk about a big hunting expedition. They then gave one war weapon (type PMK) to Zokaba Francis. They went to the forest from Mopoko to Ngbala where after several days of hunting they killed one elephant.

In March 2017, Mapon Gaga, a Congolese living in Souanke with one war weapon and ammunition mobilized local populations to carry out elephant hunting. They killed two elephants, removed the tusks and transported them to Souanke. On their way, the came across youth of the Longa village who ripped out the ivory tusks and the weapon.

In November 2017, Akoua Simon, Loh Emmanuel, Bengone Laurent and Mamadou were passing through Befam village going to Alati near Cameroon. Biya Ngueck Olivier the chief of Befam arrested them and seized their weapon rifle 375.

Assomba Bienvenu was staying at his aunt place at Motou-Mayeck when his uncle Gbolo Marcel invited him for hunting. Gbolo Marcel was on his turn contacted by Euguesse Eustache after having proposed to Edja Sagouo who declined.

During the year 2019, rangers caught and arrested Ehoulabi Lazard for having killed three elephants and having possessed one war weapon and ammunition at Ibongo village. He was then brought before the state prosecutor who sent him to court for trial.

In May 2016, Ekoumba Prince carried out hunting targeting species that can only be hunted with a fire gun. Without been holder of a small hunting permit he was arrested by rangers of the PROGEP-KABO who brougth him before the state prosecutor.

Engouendza Adrien is a Congolese individual resident at Mokouangonda. During the year 2017, a big hunting expedition was carried out in the village and elephants were killed with a PMAK weapon. During investigations, rangers caught and arrested Engouendza Adrien in possession of the said PMAK that was hidden behind his house.

Gbanda Franck is a truck driver at CIB company. On April 28, 2011 he was phoned by Ossa Célistin known as ”Celio” who asked him to transport ivory tusks to the Loundougou village area.

Ingoya Jean Bosco, Akondzo Ebba, Ngouabi Gabin, Awone Tuta are resident at Pokola. In July 2017, Ingoya Jean Bosco and Awone Tuta were contacted by one known as Potin to carry out big hunting expedition. They accepted and went to the forest in Ndoki 2 area where they killed one elephant.
