On September 08, 2011, Yombotoua Victor killed one elephant at Liouesso village with a caliber 12 weapon. He then removed the tusks that we hid inside water. On his way to sell the tusks at Makoua he was caught and arrested by forces of law and order.

During her interrogation, she declared that she was not aware of the ivory tusks that belonged to her boyfriend Mohamed who is resident in Pokola.
Biel Rivelent and Oniangue Léon were arrested by rangers for hunting with a war weapon in December 2018. They were brought before the state prosecutor and sent to court for trial.
