MEDOU Paul Alex was arrested in Campo Ma'an National Park in possession of a bay duiker and a porcupine that he killed in the park during a hunting party.
The two accused persons ANGO ANGO Jean Claude and ENDELE NNANGA Leonce Fernand were summoned before the court of First Instance, Djoum on separate proceedings to answer for charges against them respectively.
The accused persons ANKEU TANGO Jean Paul and LANG LEGO Stephane were arrested flagrante delicto in Yokadouma. ANKEU TANGO Jean Paul was caught red handed immediately after killing an elephant with the use of a firearm without any legal authorization. The co-offender LANG LEGO Stephane who detained the elephant ivories was also arrested.
The accused Assoue NDOMA was arrested flagrante delicto in the locality of Libongo by eco-guards of the Lobeke National Park. He was caught in possession of a locally fabricated firearm of calibre 12 and cartridges.
The accused persons ATANGANA Roger, ONANA Lazare , TOKENDI NYAMINGONGO Francois and DANLADJI Adamou were arrested flagrante delicto in Djangui by ecoguards of the Lobeke national park during an anti-poaching mission.
The accused AWOUNDI Jean Claude was found guilty of poaching by the Court of First Instance, Djoum, as per a judgement in default. He was sentenced to six (06) months imprisonment and to pay costs. He rightly contested the judgement which was admitted by the Court.
The accused AWOUNDI Jean was summoned by the State Attorney to respond to charges of killing protected animal species. That on the 16 June 1998, the accused killed protected animal species in the locality of Mintom, in a zone prohibited from hunting.
The accused persons Bandou Tangui Bertrand and Beka Octave Timolian were arrested flagrante delicto in the locality of Bazou by elements of the Nde divisional delegation of forestry and wildlife. They were found in possession of a three years old chimpanzee which they were about to sell.
The acccused persons BELINGA Parfait Periche and NYATTE MINLO Serges Constant were prosecuted before the Court of First Instance, Sangmelima for illegal of killing of 12 elephants, totally protected animal species and complicity. On September 11, 2012 judgement was passed.
The accused BELLO Marie was held in MEKOM (MINTOM) within an area prohibited from hunting. She was summoned before the Court of First Instance, Djoum to respond to charges of complicity in the illegal detention of a hunting gun inside an area prohibited from hunting; and complicity to illegal hunting.
