It was alleged by the prosecution that on 30/07/1996 in the village of Lutukila, within the District of Songea the appellant was found with unlawful possession of government trophies. They were later on prosecuted before the District Court of Songea. Prosecution procured about five (5) witnesses to testify the allegations.

It was alleged that on 21 December 2013 at Hangangadinda Village, Namtubo District in Ruvuma Region was found in possession of elephant meat. The charge was withdrawn under section 91(1) of the Criminal Procedure Act).

It was alleged that the accused person was found in possession of government trophy, contrary to the laws of the Republic. The case was withdrawn by the prosecution.

Following information from an informer, agents of the NGO Conservation Justice were alerted that a state-of-the-art ivory transaction was to take place in one of the rooms of the PLAZA studio motel.

in 2019, ADORO CHUKWIDI, a Nigerien national, reportedly received two ivory tusks from his brother, who was finally returning to the country, each weighing 0.5 kg. Eager to get rid of it, he approached the Nigerian-born AGHAEZE CHUKWU to help him find a buyer.

In March 2011, Yolah Fred Benjamin killed one elephant with his caliber 12 rifle during a hunting expedition. He cut the trunk and removed the two ivory tusks. He then contacted Mouity Dissienga to look for a buyer. Dissienga took an appointed with a middleman who was to introduce them to a buyer at hotel Louis on the same day in the afternoon.

While he was an employee in a logging concession located at Mandji-Ndolou, Yeno Matamba discovered ivory tusks that he decided to keep. Following the advice of his uncle who offered to help him, Yeno went to Libreville to sell the products at XAF800,000.

On 20 November 2019, judicial police agents arrested Wopinase and his accomplices at Lalara. During his interrogation, Wopinase a Cameroonian individual declared that he was in relationship with Diallo and others and succeeded to collect three bags of ivory that he hid in the bush.

In September 2019, Traore Boisse met two young men, who offered to sell him six ivory tusks for the sum of XAF150,000. He then hid the ivory purchased in a bag of flour before going to NDJOLE.

In September 2019, following an information related to ivory trafficking judicial police agents of Mouila arrested Motombi Ngoubou Mari Laure. During her interrogation, she declared that she was commissioned by Silla Demba to collect a parcel and deliver to someone at ”Beaux garçons” junction.
