On the 18 August 2018, during a routine control in Douala (Bonapriso neighbourhood), elements of the Littoral Regional Delegation of Forestry and wildlife, arrested the accused MAHAMA RABIOU red-handed transporting bags of pangolins scales weighing 89 kg in his vehicle.
On the 09 December 2010 at ”Marché de Fleurs” in Douala, a team from the Littoral Regional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife arrested NKOUTENGAM ABOUBAKAR in possession of a Leopard skin which he was selling. During interrogations, he admitted to having been found in illegal possession of a Leopard skin which he was about to sell.
On the 19 September 2013, the accused NFORMI Alfred FAI was arrested in Edea by elements of the conservation service of the Divisional Delegation of the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife. He was found in possession of two elephant jawbones. During interrogations, he denied committing the offence and pleaded not guilty.
Agents of the Edea territorial brigade stopped a public transport bus belonging to transport agency labelled ”Garanti voyages” for the usual road control checks. During the checks, a bag containing the elephant ivories hidden in clothes which was placed on top of the bus fell down and the clothes fell out.
On the 03 June 2015, in the locality of Edea, BANY Simon was by elements of the conservation service in possession of a chimpanzee skull hidden in a bag he was carrying. During interrogations, he acknowledged committing the offences as charged and pleaded guilty.
On the 25 August 2015 in the locality of Pouma, elements of the conservation service arrested the accused, BITJOKA Jean Marie in illegal possession of skulls of chimpanzees, gorillas and other unidentified monkeys. He was about to commercialize them at the time of his arrest and was void of any identity document.
Elements of the conservation service of the Sanaga Maritime Division received reliable information from an informant about an ongoing illegal trafficking activity in the locality of Mouanko. Following this information, the accused DELE toumolo was arrested in illegal possession of 07 leatherback turtle shells.
In December 2019, at Mekambo in Ogooué-Ivindo a joint mission of ANPN and counter-intelligence and military security agents of Makokou was carried out following an information related to the possession of two ivory tusks by MANGOKE MAMBO Robert and ETEMALONGO Frédérick at Ilounene village.
In 2019, MAMBELO Françis was arrested by judicial police officers when he was about to sell ivory tusks in a hotel room located at Potos area in Franceville. He admitted the facts during his interrogation but declared that he was not the owner of the tusks and he wanted to sell them to get some money.
In July 2020, informed of an impending transaction on ivory trafficking, the officers of the judicial police and the Waters and Forests provincial delegation of Nyanga supported by members of the NGO Conservation Justice were conducting an investigation, which succeeded in the arrest of the named MAKAYA Jean Almed and TIDJANI Idriss found in po
