In July 2019 at Tala-Tala, Monoumbou Marc Stanislas a hunter went to the forest with Messi Mangolo Idriss and Mekousse Grace as carriers for a hunting expedition. He killed four gazelles and one giant pangolin.
In April 2018, Ngombo Jacques found a giant pagolin in one of his traps at a village called Ouesso Mbila.
On June 20, 2015, Okoko Mesmin Armel was going to Makoua on his motorbike from Liouesso where he was working. On his way at a village called Lango he saw a giant pangolin wounded and having difficulties to cross the road. He then decided to kill the animal with hiw machete and put it in his bag.
The Last Great Ape Organization LAGA -Cameroon ( an NGO specialized in Wildlife Law Enforcement) conveyed reliable information on some illegal trafficking activities in the town of Sangmelima to the Divisional Delegate of Forestry and Wildlife of Dja and Lobo.
The accused LETINA JEAN-PIERRE was arrested flagrante delicto in the locality of Djembe by eco-guards of the Lobeke national park during an anti-poaching control mission. He was found in possession of 45 steel cables, 02 machetes, 04 pieces of Giant pangolins, 08 thighs of Peter's and Harvey's duiker and 02 thighs of Blue duiker.
The accused persons, CHINGO Zacharie and ADAMU YAYA were prosecuted before the court of First Instance Djoum for illegal detention and killing of totally protected animal species notably 03 bags containing 39 elephant ivories.
NGOYI Donald Bebert, a resident of Secka village who worked as a primary school headmaster of that village, received information that the sale of pangolin scales brings in a lot of money; therefore, he bought the scales from the villagers at flat rates; so he also bought scales from DOBO Dominique, who told him that he knew a buyer in Ouesso.
On the 14 October 2010, the accused persons MPENGUE Celestine, MEFOUTA Richard and DOUMBE Apollinaire were arrested flagrante delicto in the locality of Faro-west (Cynegetic Hunting Zone (ZIC) 30 by elements of the divisional delegation of forestry and wildlife for Boumba and Ngoko.
On the 10 August 2016 in MENDOUM, the accused SEUMO KENGNE Mikel was brought before the court of First Instance, Djoum to answer charges of detention and circulation of a totally protected class A animal species.
On the 9 April 2020, elements of the conservation service of the Divisional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife of the Upper-Nyong Division received reliable information about ongoing pangolin scales trafficking in the town of Dimako. A team was mobilized to arrest the suspects and dismantle the trafficking network.
