On August 28, 2015 at around 3:00pm, Soukapane Arthur Max and Bazock Ulrich were arrested by rangers in possession of pieces of gorilla meat. On August 27, both were in their camp when they heard a gorilla screaming.
On January 21, 2014 Moungoumba Gape accompanied by his younger brother went to the forest for hunting. While there he killed many animal species including a baby gorilla, a totally protected specie. Moungoumba Gape was caught on the same in the forest camp.
Ndelameya Moïse Christ pretended to present a school exam and did not have money to put together the application file. He then decided to visit his brother-in-law at Li-Ouesso village to carry out fishing. One week after his arrival to the village, he met with one known as Majelain who proposed to carry out trap hunting in the forest.
In July 2016, Badidi Rock accompanied by his brother-in-law Zamba Lévi went to the forest for hunting. The hunting expedition was not fruitful and they both decided to come back with bushmeat at any cost. So when they came across a group of gorillas they did not hesitate to kill one and skin the animal.
Biel Rivelent and Oniangue Léon were arrested by rangers for hunting with a war weapon in December 2018. They were brought before the state prosecutor and sent to court for trial.
In October 2018, the appellant Chunhui Z. asked the defendants Tao L. and Jun Z. to travel to the Republic of South Africa to smuggle prohibited items to China according to his agreement with Lu, and Chunhui Z. himself stayed in China and was ready to respond. After arriving in South Africa, under the arrangement of Lu, Tao L.
The defendants Weidong C., Fulong, P., Qiyi L., Zhigang Z. were hired by the Vietnamese "Amou 1" to smuggle in endangered animal products purchased by Dingqin W and ship them to Guangdong. On the morning of June 17, 2018, Fulong, P. hired a van to deliver 10 smuggled rhino horns to Zhigang Z. The next day, Zhigang Z.
The defendant Xinfeng Y. purchased wild animal products suspected of being ivory and rhino horn three times at Panjiayuan Market Market in Beijing and Dongyang Wood Carving City in Zhejiang Province from 2013 to 2014.
On June 3, 2017, Li 1, Li 2, Guan, Liu, Chen 1 brought 59.40 kilograms of ivory from Macau, and then Li 2 handed the ivory to the defendant Liefu L. in Zhuhai City and received RMB 51300 yuan. On June 7, 2017, Li 1, Li 2, Guan, Liu, Chen 1 brought a batch of ivory from Macau again.
From the end of 2017 to April 2018, through WeChat contact, the defendants Feng H. and Meinan X. sold a batch of rhino horns illegally purchased from others to the defendants Jinchun L. and Guowei C.at a price of 2.6 million yuan. On April 26, 2018, the police arrested the defendants Feng H., Jinchun L. and Guowei C.
