In September 2019, following an information related to ivory trafficking judicial police agents of Mouila arrested Motombi Ngoubou Mari Laure. During her interrogation, she declared that she was commissioned by Silla Demba to collect a parcel and deliver to someone at ”Beaux garçons” junction.

In December 2019, the General Directorate of Research of Ogoué Ivindo had been informed of a trafficking in ivory tusks in the city of Makokou. After investigations, SANY Mohamed was arrested in possession of two ivory tusks he was planning to deliver in a hotel nearby.

Mounanga Arnaud Ulrich met one individual in a drinking spot who told him that he was an ivory trafficker looking for ivory. Mounanga remembered that his father Nzissila was in possession of two ivory tusks and he put him in contact with the buyer who confirmed the presence of the products.

In May 2020, during a hunting expedition Ntsaba Mahette and Nzamba Hendje Ghislain killed an elephant and removed the tusks that they kept for several days.

In 2019, NGUIMBI Francis was clearing a plantation in Gamba, he allegedly found at the foot of a tree stump, a bag containing nine (09) ivory tusks, that's when he decided to keep them, before going to Tchibanga to hand them over to his little brother, waiting to find a buyer.

In December 2019, EYIBAKA MEMBOUYA Vianney was found in possession of three ivory tusks when he was about to sell them which led to his arrest. During his interrogation, he recognized and declared that the products belonged to his brother-in-law MANGALA Norbert who brought them six months before from his workplace near the Ivindo national park.

In September 2020, agents of the Haut-Ogooué research antenna were informed that one individual was in possession of ivory trophies that he intended to sell. An investigation was then opened that led to the arrest of INOUSSA BALIMA who was found in possession of four ivory pieces weighing 6.53 kg in total.

On January 10, 2014, FAROUK Alim was on his way to a place known as Petit Paris to collect a package containing 16 tusks of elephant ivory. Accompanied by one known as François, they proceeded to buy a scale before taking a taxi to Louis district to sell the said tusks.

In October 2019 at Mekambo in Ogooué-Ivindo, an information related to the selling of products from fully protected species by IBIZO LANDANI Alain led to a join mission between agents of counter-intelligence and military security unit (PCISM) and national agency of protected areas (ANPN). The strategy was to catch the target red handed.

During 2018, in Lebamba, the named GUETIKLA Abdoulaye met a Burkinabe individual, named SANOGO Adama, who asked him to find him ivory tusks. Some time later, the aforementioned approached his mother-in-law KOUMBA Jeanne, who supplied him with the ivory tusks. Then he approached MONDJO NDOH Golsman who also found two ivory tusks for him.
